I bought a charcoal wool overcoat from COS in the autumn of 2022 for $329. I have worn it, on my best estimate, 700 times. Including $102 in alterations, the total spend is $431. By any cost-per-wear calculation I have ever done, this is the cheapest piece of clothing I own.
I Stopped Using Airport Chargers in 2017
I have, in fifteen years of owning a smartphone, used airport chargers, cafe chargers, and hotel chargers hundreds of times. The peak year was 2016, when I borrowed a stranger's cable at JFK. The charger I use now is, by my standard, the one in my bag. The airport charger is, in 2026, a relic.

I returned, in 2025, $2,180 worth of merchandise across sixteen retailers. The single largest return was, by my standard, a $440 winter jacket from Mr Porter. The jacket arrived, by my description, 'slightly more orange than the website suggested.' The return was, in 2026, free.
